All new production! A Cinderella Story is everything that traditional ballet is not! The entire production features a retro 1950s look, from music, to the costumes, to the choreography. The two dozen dancers go through moves from ballroom to showbiz, and from jazz to African. Well known choreographer Val Caniparoli has created a production that evokes the elegance and exuberance of a Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers film! Royal Winnipeg Ballet holds the double distinction of being Canada’s premiere ballet company and the longest continuously operating ballet company in North America. Versatility, technical excellence and a captivating style are trademark qualities that have garnered them both critical and audience acclaim since their founding in 1939.

Michigan Opera Theatre

Eisenhower Dance, State Street Ballet, and ezdanza bring classical and contemporary styles together to create Common Ground, a stunningly original piece. Visionary choreographer Edgar Zendejas was inspired by Max Richter’s re-composition of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, and built Common Ground around it. Three diverse companies—State Street Ballet, Detroit’s Eisenhower Dance, and Montreal’s ezdanza—bring classical and contemporary styles together to create something stunningly original. Charles Donelan of the Santa Barbara Independent describes it as “choreography that rejects the assumption that dancers on pointe can’t mix with other kinds of movers.” “In Common Ground, we explore the change of seasons within each one of us.” -Choreographer Edgar Zendejas
